Ms. Roura grew up in the great city of Chicago, Illinois. After graduating from Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, Illinois in 1995, Ms. Roura spent time as a swim coach and lifeguard before joining the Peace Corps in 1997. From 1997 to 1999, she devoted her time in the Peace Corps to teaching agroforestry to the native farmers in San Luis Jilotepeque, Jalapa, Guatemala. Her career in Graduate Medical Education (GME) began in 2001 as a Transitional Year Residency Coordinator at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago and progressed with taking on the coordinator role at Providence St. Peter Family Medicine in Olympia, Washington in 2008. Ms. Roura was presented with the opportunity to diversify her GME experience in 2015 to help start up a rural training program in Chehalis, Washington. Since then, she has helped to grow the Chehalis Family Medicine program as well as invest in new coordinators as part of her role in AFMA and WWAMI.

Hillary Brodin is the Senior Manager of Operations for the St. Peter Family Medicine and Chehalis Family Medicine residency programs, overseeing integrated clinic and residency operations in Southwest Washington. With more than 15 years of healthcare experience, she began her career as a nationally certified Medical Assistant before transitioning into operations leadership with Providence. Since moving into leadership roles in 2019, Hillary has supported primary care, specialty care, and graduate medical education programs, helping teams navigate growth, operational improvement, and workforce development. She is passionate about building high-performing teams, developing future healthcare leaders, and creating environments where caregivers can thrive. A longtime Olympia resident, Hillary enjoys spending time with her family and exploring the Pacific Northwest.
