We are a 3-3-3, 1:2 rural family medicine residency program. 3-3-3 means that we have three residents in each class and 1:2 means that we provide a split-location training where first year (PGY-1) rotations are largely completed in a bigger more urban medical center (Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia, WA) and for the remaining two years (PGY-2 and PGY-3) a majority of rotations are completed in a more rural smaller medical center 30 minutes south of Olympia (Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA).
