Chehalis, Washington is a small city located almost exactly halfway between Seattle, Washington and Portland, Oregon. The historic downtown and most of the city's amenities are nestled at the base of a small range of forested hills. From numerous vantage points in the hills just west of town, one can see Mount Rainier, Mount Adams, and Mount St. Helens—weather permitting.

  • About three hours north is Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada — truly an international crossroads.
  • Portland, Oregon is two hours south. The city’s thriving downtown and historic neighborhoods entice visitors from all over the world.
  • A two-hour drive gets you to the Cascade Mountains and Mt. Rainier for a world of wintertime play — downhill and cross-country skiing, snowmobiling and snowshoeing.
  • There are several beautiful national and state parks within a few hours drive. Olympic National Park, Mt. Rainier National Park and Mt. St. Helens to name a few.
  • The Pacific Ocean also is just over an hour away, replete with clamming and beach-combing.
