Residents complete their first-year hospital rotations with the intern classes of the St. Peter Family Medicine Residency Program and the Summit Pacific Rural Training Program at Providence St. Peter Hospital in Olympia. This provides training in a larger hospital setting during the PGY-1 year. Second and third-year rotations are predominately completed at Providence Centralia Hospital in Centralia, WA, a smaller hospital where residents are provided more autonomy. Residents have inpatient and obstetrical rotations in all three years to develop and maintain the skills needed to continue practicing full-spectrum medicine after graduation.
