Message from the Department Chair

Being somebody’s doctor isn’t something you learn from a textbook or video. Here at St. Vincent’s, we recognize that it’s not just the “what” but also the “how and why” that make for truly exemplary clinicians. Our faculty care deeply about who our learners are as human beings and as professionals. We stay on top of science and the systems of care delivery – but most importantly, we mentor our trainees through the formative years as they learn from and for our patients, instilling a passion for excellence and a grounded sense of professional identity. We know, live, and teach that it is a joy and a privilege to be somebody’s doctor.
