Salary and Benefits

Salaries for residents throughout the Providence Health & Services in Oregon are identical and competitive with other residency programs in the Portland area. The salary schedule listed below does not include medical, dental, liability, life insurance and other additional paid benefits.

Education Benefits

  • American College of Physicians Associate Membership dues paid
  • USMLE Step 3 or COMLEX level 3 fees paid in full (if taken during PGY-1 year)
  • Educational stipend: $500 for preliminary PGY-1, and $3,500 for categorical residents accessible throughout residency.
  • ACLS certification and recertification, fees paid and time off provided
  • Internal Medicine In-Training Exam fee paid
  • Oregon Limited License fee paid in full
