Salary

  • First year resident: $64,858
  • Second year resident: $67,415
  • Third year resident: $70,177

Relocation Allowance

$1,500

Paid Time Away

25 Days- this covers vacation, sick time, and holidays. We observe 7 federal holidays:

  • New Years Day
  • MLK Jr Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day

**time away is not deducted for residents working inpatient services on those days

We offer a generous flexible benefits program (including medical, dental and vision) for you and your family.

Fitness Center

Free membership at Providence St. Peter Hospital's Fitness Center.

Meal Stipend

$60 per month for first- and second-year residents.

Malpractice Insurance

Malpractice insurance is provided.

Education Stipend

Up to $250 for first year residents

Up to $500 for second year residents

Up to $1,000 for third year residents

Certifications

We provide all BLS, ACLS, NRP, ALSO and PALS training.

Medical License and DEA Certification

Fees paid in full; includes all associated fees (e.g. USMLE report, transcript fees).

ABFM Board Fee

Cost of the application for ABFM exam will be reimbursed. The program will reimburse for only one attempt at this exam. Resident must provide a copy of their board scores.

Part III Boards Fee

Cost of the application for Part III of the National Boards will be reimbursed. The program will reimburse for only one attempt at this exam. Residents must provide a copy of their Step III Score Report.

Travel

Mileage will be reimbursed at the current hospital rate for rotation travel to off campus (out of the city of Olympia/Lacey/Tumwater) sites.
