How to Apply

Seven residents will be selected for the first year positions at the Providence St. Peter Family Medicine Residency program. Only applicants who are enrolled in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) will be considered for first year positions in these programs. Residents enter the program with the understanding that they are joining an integrated three-year program and will complete the residency, if the experience is mutually satisfactory to the resident and the Providence St. Peter Hospital Family Medicine Residency Programs.

We extend personal interviews to applicants after reviewing the following items:

  • Completed ERAS application
  • Personal statement
  • Two letters of reference - one must be from a family medicine physician with whom you have rotated.
  • Licensing Examination Scores either:
    • United States Medical Licensing Exam (USMLE) Parts I, II CS & II CK OR
    • Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Exam (COMLEX) Levels 1, 2-CE & 2-PE.

Once applicants have been issued an invitation to interview, we request that they answer the supplemental program questions so that we might get to know them better.
