Chanh-Tam “Dominic” Nguyen was born in Bellevue, Washington, and raised in Edmonds and the greater Seattle area in a Vietnamese immigrant family. He attended the University of Washington, earning a degree in Public Health, before attending Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences for medical school. After undergrad, Dominic returned to Vietnam to shadow physicians and volunteer in hospitals, an experience that deepened his interest in global health and broadened his perspective on healthcare across cultures. During his clinical years, he lived in Olympia and developed a strong connection to the community. He looks forward to continuing to grow there while building long-term relationships with patients at Providence St. Peter Hospital. Dominic is drawn to full-scope family medicine and enjoys caring for patients across both acute and chronic settings, with interests in underserved care, street medicine, hospital-based medicine, obstetrics, procedures, and integrative medicine. Outside of medicine, he is a self-proclaimed movie and TV enthusiast who enjoys getting lost in a good story, whether on screen or in a book. He also enjoys spending time with family, martial arts, weightlifting, photography, videography, and playing guitar.
