Dr. Chaban was born in L’viv, Ukraine and moved to Los Angeles as
a small child, where he grew up. He attended the University of California,
Davis, obtaining a Bachelor degree in biology. He then worked in clinical
research at Children’s Hospital LA for a year prior to attending
medical school at Midwestern University (AZCOM) in Phoenix, Arizona. His
passions in medicine lie in preventative care, behavioral health, as well
as working with underserved communities. During medical school, he worked
with his school’s H.O.M.E. clinic, providing medical care and educational
outreach to the unhoused and underserved communities of the greater Phoenix
area. He chose to go into family medicine due to being able to build lasting
relationships with patients and have a meaningful impact on their lives.
Dr. Chaban is excited to now be living in the green and rainy Pacific
Northwest after spending four years in the Sonoran Desert of Arizona.
As an avid outdoor enthusiast – especially hiking with his wife
and their shih-tzu Chewie – he looks forward to exploring the beautiful
natural landscapes of the area. He also enjoys cycling, sampling foods
from different cultures, and technology.
