Dr. Lima enjoys practicing full-spectrum family medicine including inpatient medicine and obstetrics, and her area of special interest is addiction medicine for which she attained board certification in 2019. In her teaching capacity, she enjoys watching residents flourish and become independent, and also enjoys assisting residents in accomplishing their learning goals. Dr. Lima enjoys working with patients to achieve their health goals and finds it rewarding to see the impact of health improvements on patients’ lives. She enjoys behavioral health, procedures, and pediatrics and incorporates whole-person care and social determinants into her office visits. Her goal in her faculty role is to continue serving disadvantaged populations within the clinic but also find ways to more effectively improve health for marginalized populations who are not routinely accessing medical care. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, mountain biking, swimming, and reading with her husband and three energetic girls. Someday she would like to improve her telescope skills and renew her interest in astronomy.
