Providence St. Vincent Medical Center was recognized by Healthgrades in 2023 as one of the America’s 50 Best Hospitals, within the top 1% of hospitals nationwide, the only hospital in Oregon to receive this recognition three years in a row.
Providence St. Vincent Medical Center (PSVMC) is part of Providence Health & Services in Oregon, a not-for-profit network of hospitals, health plans, physicians, clinics, and affiliated health services. PSVMC is renowned for its many centers of excellence, including Providence Brain and Spine Institute, Providence Heart and Vascular Institute, and Providence Center for Health Care Ethics. Providence St. Vincent Medical Center is home to the world’s most advanced operating suite for brain tumors, with the only movable intraoperative MRI on the West Coast. In 2014, a $25 million grant was awarded to our Heart and Vascular Institute to support research and cardiac wellness. In July 2023, we received our unprecedented sixth consecutive Magnet designation for outstanding patient care and nursing excellence.
Our goal is to train highly skilled and dedicated caregivers to become the doctors of the future. We emphasize life-long learning, evidence-based medicine, team-based care, and professionalism. Many graduates from Providence St. Vincent residency program are now leaders within the Providence Health & Services system.
