Message from the Director

Justin Osborne

Welcome to Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency. We are located in the greater Portland area. Our community program has the best of all worlds. We are small enough to have excellent cohesiveness and an ideal nurturing learning environment, yet close enough to the larger metropolis and larger hospitals for specialist training. Our graduates often stay working for Providence and most graduates continue to care for underserved populations in Oregon and Washington. Most of our graduates stay in the area and many continue working for Providence.
- Justin Osborn, MD

Discover Our Program

At Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency, we promote and model lifelong learning, communication and procedural skills and the teamwork necessary to provide high-quality care, especially to those most in need. Our mission is to train family physicians to be the cornerstone of patient-centered, socially responsible, community-oriented medical care while addressing social determinants affecting health.

As physicians of the Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency Program, we treat common illnesses uncommonly well. We honor patients' unique needs and cultures. We strive to balance our professional and personal lives. We are accepting of all people no matter what background, sexual orientation or age and we welcome and support diversity.
