Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency is a 21-resident three year community based unopposed program located in the Portland Metro area. Our program is located just six miles from downtown Portland, Oregon.

The Curriculum: The curriculum for the Providence Oregon Family Medicine Residency is innovative and resident-driven. It includes a strong foundation of medicine skills and the opportunity to do a focused PGY-3 experience with inpatient medicine or Obstetrics. Flexibility in your electives allow you to fill clinical gaps or follow your passion in family medicine.
The Community: Milwaukie is the perfect place to train for community-based, full-spectrum family medicine. It’s close enough to Portland for you to train with front-line specialists in our larger hospitals. But then you can come home to provide primary care for our underserved and clinically diverse communities.
The Patient-Centered Medical Homes: Our Southeast and Milwaukie clinics are certified as Tier 5 Patient Centered
Medical Homes by the Oregon Health Authority, Our clinics offer team-based care with behaviorists, clinical pharmacists,
Physician Assistants, RN's and clinical social workers integrated into
the practice and located on-site. This means you are not alone in providing
patient services, but part of an inclusive high functioning multidisciplinary
team. Epic EMR is used to deliver seamless care between clinics, specialists
and hospitals and to track population health data to improve health care delivery.
