One Community Health is a Federally Qualified Health Center and Patient-Centered
Home. It was initially established to serve Hood River's Latino population,
providing primary care services and obstetrics care. It has now grown
to 4 locations, providing dental care, behavioral health care, on site
pharmacies, medication therapy for opioid and substance use disorders,
transgender care, specialty diabetes and weight loss programs, on site
teaching kitchen and nightly fitness programs, and so much more.
Residents have their continuity clinic throughout all 3 years of residency at the Hood River location, a brand new building that opened in the Summer of 2020 as the old one, the original La Clinica del Carino, was decommissioned and cleared away. Many of our residents have gone on to work at One Community Health after graduation.
