Salaries and Benefits
Salary levels are established annually by the Graduate Medical Education
Committee and are the same for all residents. Cost of living adjustments
are made each year based on rate of inflation.

- R2: $68,646

Insurance
Insurance is provided through Providence Health and Services. Two plans
are available so that health/vision/dental insurance can be customized
for resident and their family’s needs.
- Basic Life and AD&D Insurance (2x salary) free to resident with additional
coverage available for purchase

Provider Time Away (PTA)
- 200 hours frontloaded July of each year; 40 hours may carry over. This
includes Vacation, Sick and Holidays.
Continued Medical Education (CME)
- R1: $500 and zero days leave
- R2: $1,000 and up to three days leave
- R3: $1,500 and up to three days leave

- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Licenses
- Washington State Board of Medicine License Fees
- DEA License Fees (3 year license)
Exams
- USMLE/COMLEX Step 3 Registration: 100% of fee reimbursed after successful
completion
- ABFM Board Exam: 100% fees reimbursed for one attempt at exam
