Our residency takes place in multiple settings including our outpatient Kadlec Family Medicine Residency Clinic (KFMR), the Kadlec Regional Medical Center, outpatient specialty clinics, local private practices, and a local free clinic. The thread woven throughout our training is seeing our own patients weekly at our residency clinic.
As an unopposed residency, KFMR residents have full access to the mentoring of attendings throughout the hospital, including our Gold Team adult hospitalists, the inpatient pediatric hospitalists, emergency medicine physicians, cardiologists, and more. Our yearly block schedule offers increasing freedom with each year to allow residents to tailor their experience to their interests.

At Kadlec Family Medicine Residency, wellness is a core part of our culture. Through resident retreats, hiking, pickleball, barbeques, holiday celebrations, Resident Appreciation Week, and wellness-focused didactics, we create opportunities for residents to connect, recharge, and build community.
Our Wellness Committee, made up of residents, faculty, and staff, works to promote a supportive environment where resident wellbeing, work-life balance, and personal growth are valued alongside professional development.
Residents receive two half-day wellness days each academic year, monthly early release from didactics for self-care and personal wellbeing, and administrative time on select rotations to attend to professional responsibilities.
We recognize that residency is demanding and are committed to creating a culture where residents feel supported throughout their training.
Residents have access to a variety of wellness resources through Kadlec and Providence, including:
