Salary and Benefits

Salary:

  • First year resident: $68,100.00
  • Second year resident: $70,785.00
  • Third year resident: $73,685.00

Relocation allowance:

  • $1,500

Paid Time Away:

  • 25 days PTA (paid time away) which includes vacation, sick time and holidays.

Family Leave:

Our program follows the ABFM policy for Family Leave for Maternity/Paternity leave or for emergency medical leave allowing for 8 weeks of family leave. This is taken as short-term disability leave for maternity leave at 100% pay. There are options for parent bonding/paternity leave.

Additionally, residents can take more elective time for Parent-Bonding or Patient as Provider Electives if needed for family transitions.

Insurance:

We offer a generous flexible benefits program (including medical, dental and vision) for you and your family.

Malpractice Insurance:

Malpractice insurance is provided.

Education Stipend:

  • Up to $500 for first year residents
  • Up to $1,000 for second year residents
  • Up to $1,000 for third year residents

Meal Stipend:

$60 per month for first and second-year residents.

Certifications:

We provide all BLS, ACLS, NRP, ALSO and PALS training.

Medical License and DEA Certification:

Fees paid in full; includes all associated fees (e.g. USMLE report, transcript fees).

ABFM Board Fee:

Cost of the application for ABFM exam will be reimbursed. The program will reimburse for only one attempt at this exam. Residents must provide a copy of their board scores.

Part III Boards Fee:

Cost of the application for Part III of the National Boards will be reimbursed. The program will reimburse for only one attempt at this exam. Residents must provide a copy of their Step III Score Report.

Travel:

Rural Training Program Residents will be reimbursed for mileage traveled beyond the normal rotation day commute.
