Life in Spokane

Spokane is the second largest city in Washington and is located 280 miles east of Seattle. It developed around the Spokane River and features the 100-acre Riverfront Park. Spokane and the surrounding area (545,000 population) offer numerous cultural and recreational opportunities, including fine dining, symphony, theater, dancing, art galleries, wineries, golf, horseback riding, and multiple cycling options. Superb cross-country and downhill skiing are available at several nearby resorts, while the 75 lakes located within 50 miles of Spokane offer world class fishing and watersport activities.
