The Providence St. Peter Chehalis Rural Training Program is centered around providing high-quality care for an underserved population, deferring to the latest guidelines and research. Our home base continuity clinic takes place at Chehalis Family Medicine in Lewis County, WA.
Our program is a strong fit for medical students looking for a challenging
rural family medicine program with first-year rotations at a larger hospital
in Olympia, WA, with the
St. Peter Family Medicine Residency Program, and second- and third-year rotations at a smaller community hospital (Providence Centralia) in Centralia, WA. We offer our residents a solid foundation in the fundamentals
of full spectrum family medicine, highlighting innovative clinical practice
models in our Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH). We are an interdisciplinary team where our faculty, residents and staff
collaborate in team-based care while continuing to emphasize personal wellness.
We hope that you consider all that our residency has to offer you as a
physician to prepare you for a sustainable life-long career caring in
family medicine.
