Surgical Fellowships

The objective of our surgical fellowship programs is to promote and develop leaders in the field of their specialty both academically and technically. Fellows will have a mentored experience focused on a transition to independence.

Each program offers a high volume of cases, academic opportunities and mentorship by leading physicians. Our curriculums are designed to give each fellow the opportunity to work with multiple physicians and perform a variety of procedures. Fellows will participate in clinical and surgical care of patients within the faculty practices but will also have significant autonomy in patient care. Fellows will graduate having finely honed skills in surgical diagnosis and treatment within their specialty.

Research Fellowships

Our research fellowships are offered through Earle A. Chiles Research Institute, the research arm of Providence Cancer Institute. Since 1993 cancer research has been their primary focus and the main area of research is cancer immunotherapy – a specialized field of study focused on treatments that boost the immune system against cancer.

Research fellows will have the opportunity to be mentored by world renowned physicians and scientists. The purpose of our research fellowships is to provide structured education and training to prepare the next generation of physician scientists and to equip the fellow for a successful academic and/or scientific career.
