College of Pharmacy: Oregon State University/Oregon Health & Science University College of Pharmacy

PGY1: Providence Medford Medical Center

Why I chose Providence: I was an intern with Providence Portland throughout pharmacy school and appreciated the values and culture that our caregivers uphold. I matched for my PGY-1 residency at Providence Medford and worked with caregivers across different ministries and states and found this to be true no matter who I interacted with. During my ambulatory care rotation, I had great preceptors and loved working collaboratively with an interprofessional team, having a high level of autonomy, and having a wide scope of practice due to the many collaborative drug practice agreements that are in place for our clinical pharmacy specialists, which all helped to solidify my decision to stay with PMG for my PGY-2!

Clinical areas of interest: Chronic disease state management, internal medicine, antimicrobial stewardship, and precepting learners.

Favorite hobbies: Traveling, hiking, cooking, baking, tennis, and trying out new restaurants.

Thing I want to do most while in Oregon this year: Continue exploring the hiking trails and restaurants in southern Oregon!
