PGY2 Ambulatory Care Pharmacy Residency

Successful completion of an ASHP accredited PGY1 residency is required.

You may apply directly with ASHP for an exemption if you meet the following criteria:

  • Have practiced at least three years as a pharmacist
  • Are licensed to practice as a pharmacist in the United States
  • Have postgraduate experience that may be equivalent to PGY1 training

ASHP will review the application and determine your eligibility for the match. Please contact the residency director if you meet the qualifications above and want to pursue this option.

The following completed materials must be received through the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS) before the due date:

  • Letter of intent (maximum 500 words) explaining why you’re seeking a residency at Providence Medical Group
  • Current curriculum vitae
  • Official transcripts from a college of pharmacy
  • Three references (using standardized reference form in PhORCAS)
