At Providence Medical Group we believe strongly in the practice of team based care that includes a wide spectrum of health care providers. It is our mission to serve all members of the community, especially those who are poor and vulnerable, as expressions of God’s healing love witnessed though the ministry of Jesus. We value compassion, dignity, justice, excellence, and integrity. We envision health for a better world through our promise to “know me, care for me, and ease my way.”
As a resident of our program you will practice in ambulatory clinic settings with both direct and indirect oversight so you can refine your skills alongside your preceptor while still having the opportunity to be independent in your practice. Residents will manage both adult and special populations including pregnancy and pediatrics. Our residency prepares graduates to practice in an ambulatory setting where new clinical services are both established and needed.
The purpose of Providence Medical group’s PGY2 pharmacy residency
program is to build on Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) education and PGY1
pharmacy residency programs to contribute to the development of clinical
pharmacists in specialized areas of practice. PGY2 residencies provide
residents with opportunities to function independently as practitioners
by conceptualizing and integrating accumulated experience and knowledge
and incorporating both into the provision of patient care or other advanced
practice settings. Residents who successfully complete an accredited PGY2
pharmacy residency are prepared for advanced patient care, academic, or
other specialized positions, along with board certification, if available.
Effective patient-centered, clinical pharmacy practice is a philosophy that’s supported across the entire Providence organization. Join us virtually to meet our pharmacy teams, receive an overview of each program’s curriculum and details, and an opportunity for questions and answers.
