The PCSTMC PGY1 Pharmacy Residency program term is 52 weeks (at minimum) that begins on July 1st of the current year and ends on June 30th of the following year. Residents may be required to be on-site at the hospital prior to July 1st for various onboarding activities. After obtaining pharmacist licensure in California, residents will be required to staff a minimum of 15 variable shifts throughout the residency year.
Compensation for the first year of residency is approximately $60,000. Benefits include (but not limited to): approximately 25 days of paid vacation, holiday pay for observed holidays (if working), and health insurance (medical, vision, dental). Resident accommodations include their own work area and travel and registration reimbursements for residency-related conferences.
