    Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy

    Daryl Ewing

    Daryl is the coordinator of the Providence Orthopedic Physical Therapy Residency in Portland, Oregon. He has been a Board Certified Specialist in Orthopedic Physical Therapy since 2012 and has been practicing since 2009.

    Daryl has worked as a physical therapist both in Australia and the U.S. He loves being a Physical Therapist and is passionate about providing the most efficient and effective care to each patient. He also is of the firm belief that as professionals, we should always be striving to improve as we move along our lifelong learning journey.

    When not working, Daryl enjoys exploring the beautiful state of Oregon with his family.

  • Melissa Cox, PT, DPT, SCS

    Coordinator of the Providence Sports Physical Therapy Residency

    Melissa is the coordinator of the Providence Sports Physical Therapy Residency in Portland, Oregon and is eager to assist in the development and growth of sports clinicians. She completed her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Creighton University in 2010, and was the first female Board Certified Sports Physical Therapist in Oregon, earning her SCS in 2013.

    Melissa has worked as a sports physical therapist throughout her career with special interest in the endurance athlete. She enjoys the challenge of working with athletes of all ages and experiences levels, using a multimodal approach to care, knowing that no two patients are alike. She is passionate about promoting the profession of physical therapy within healthcare and educating patients and the community on our role in their health and well-being.

    Outside of work, Melissa is a loyal UCLA Bruin alum, and active with distance running, cycling, and enjoying all the alpine lakes and forests the Pacific Northwest has to offer.
