Meet Our Residents

Crystal Rim, PharmDSarah Auer, PharmD

Pharmacy school: University of Wisconsin – Madison School of Pharmacy

A goal of mine for pursuing a pharmacy residency was to become a well-rounded, confident, and autonomous clinician. Providence had a large variety of rotations in various settings touching managed care, acute care, and ambulatory care that allowed for a diverse clinical year. I also loved that through the smaller program offered through Providence Newberg and Milwaukie we are part of a small community hospital family. This offered the opportunity to staff alone and gain that confidence and autonomy I was looking for, as well as, build close relationships with colleagues. Additionally, I was struck by the welcoming and supportive atmosphere that I felt through the pharmacy staff.

I was impressed by the variety of opportunities Providence offers. As someone with a range of interests, it was important to have a well-rounded residency experience. I soon learned that the Providence care team truly values their mission to provide compassionate and excellent care. I was warmly welcomed into the interdisciplinary team, where I make impacts in patient care and can practice at the top of my license.
