Why you chose Providence: Providence's dedication to providing holistic, whole-person centered healthcare to all individuals is a major reason I chose Providence to foster my development as a pharmacist through their PGY-1 residency program. During my APPEs, I rotated with Providence and was very impressed by the excellence and compassion demonstrated by my preceptors towards patients regarding their healthcare. I grew immensely during my limited time doing rotations with Providence both in my patient care skills and clinical skills and am excited to continue my growth as their resident! The residency curriculum provides a vast array of experiences that enables me to work with a variety of preceptors who have all been invested in helping me achieve my personal and career goals in residency. Their support has helped me to feel more confident and competent as a new pharmacist, and I'm eager to continue to see my progress alongside such a great team of professionals!

Why you chose Providence: As an APPE student at Providence Newberg I was impressed by the unique interdisciplinary team dynamic, and the immense support given to me by my preceptors. This experience solidified my desire to continue training at a small community hospital. In addition to this, I chose Providence because of the unique opportunity for residents to train at other Providence pharmacy residency programs. This provides a robust blend of learning experiences in both acute and ambulatory care and allows for more opportunities to encounter challenging clinical situations. I believe this exposure will equip me with the tools to overcome any obstacle in my future practice. I am truly honored to be a resident at Providence Newberg and Milwaukie and I look forward to growing personally and professionally throughout this program.
