The Providence Sports Residency is a multi-site program, based at clinics in Northeast Portland and Hillsboro, OR. Our state-of-the-art facility in Hillsboro provides an opportunity to connect with the rapidly expanding community. The Northeast Portland clinic provides a central location near several high schools, athletic training facilities, and embedded within a community known for their outdoor pursuits. Venue coverages opportunities can be catered to the resident’s interests but has established support though a local university athletic department. From Mt. Hood’s ski slopes, the trails of Forest Park, and down to the pitch, we value sports physical therapy as a specialty and are committed to constantly advancing our approach to assist individuals back to their sport.

It takes a village. The resident will collaborate with a diverse team of professions, including Occupational Therapists and Certified Hand Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists, Certified Athletic Trainers, Sports Medicine Physicians, Orthopedic Surgeons, and Sports Performance Specialists. Our physical therapists provide specialized services, including, but not limited to, concussion, pelvic health, persistent pain, bike fitting, golf swing analysis, and running analysis. We integrate technologies into daily practice including dynamometry, force plates, video analysis, an anti-gravity treadmill, and blood flow restriction training to maximize patient outcomes. The residency program promotes experiential learning, covering a wide range of approaches and cultivating relationships with other team members to provide exceptional care.
