Why I choose Providence: I chose Providence because of its core values that are clearly incorporated into practice, the opportunities available from the program, and the skilled professionals that have a strong commitment to patient care. Every person I have encountered has always been willing and eager to clarify any questions and walk through processes. The community is very supportive and is quick to make you feel included!

Why I want to do a residency program: I want to do residency because I want to strengthen my competence, confidence, and clinical knowledge. Residency opens the door to more areas of practice, and Providence provides a solid foundation for success in any area I choose to pursue.

Professional Interests: Infectious disease, ambulatory care, and education

Hobbies (outside of pharmacy): I love being outdoors! (hiking, kayaking, skiing, etc.) I also love to do crafts, like sewing, crochet, or knitting. I also love to read!

Why I choose Providence: During my APPE rotations at Providence, I experienced a collaborative and supportive culture that fostered both learning and growth. This positive environment confirmed my desire to continue my training within the Providence system. The residency program at Medford Medical Center provides a strong foundation for further developing the clinical skills and knowledge necessary for me to pursue a career in inpatient care. Additionally, the interview process was welcoming and affirming, which further confirmed that Providence is the right fit for my continued professional development.

Why I want to do a residency program: I enjoy being involved in patient care throughout the hospitalization process and seeing the direct impact of pharmacotherapy interventions. This level of engagement is both challenging and rewarding. Completing a residency is the next step to strengthen my clinical decision-making and prepare me for a future as a confident clinical pharmacist. It will also allow me to build strong interprofessional skills and deliver safe, evidence-based care.
