PGY1 Pharmacy Residency – Medford

Working in interdisciplinary teams, residents will learn evidence-based, patient-centered medication therapy management in acute or ambulatory care settings.

The PGY-1 Residency Program offers 2 resident positions

Providence Medford Medical Center (two residents, NMS 227713)

The program provides diverse learning experiences, giving residents broad exposure and practice skills in a variety of settings including both acute and ambulatory care. Residents have the flexibility to spend time in pharmacy practice areas of interest and will gain valuable leadership and practice-management skills.

By the end of the program, the resident should be able to:

  • Manage and improve the medication-use system, including patient safety and quality- improvement processes
  • Effectively manage projects and use medical informatics for direct patient care and for providing drug information
  • Demonstrate ability in practice-related education and training, including practice-based teaching and oral presentation
