Fellowship Application and Timeline

We are accepting applications for the Geriatric Medicine fellowship starting July, 2022.

The Geriatric Medicine fellowship program at Swedish is open only to physicians who are board-certified or board-eligible in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine.

Applicants must have completed a three-year ACGME-accredited Family Medicine Residency or Internal Medicine Residency, and obtain an unrestricted Washington State medical license and DEA number by the beginning of the fellowship.

Application for the geriatrics fellowship will be completed through the National Residency Matching Program (NMRP), and application materials will be collected through ERAS. For more information, please visit these websites:

  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Letter of support from your residency program director
  • Two letters of reference
  • Personal Statement
  • Copy of medical school diploma

Application and interview timeline

July 7, 2022 Applicants may begin applying to fellowship programs (through ERAS)
August 24, 2022 Geriatric Medicine Fellowship match opens
September 8, 2022 Deadline for application submission
October 2022 Fellowship interviews
November 16, 2022 Submission of Match rank lists
November 30, 2022 Match Day
