Pharmacy Resident Application Process

Applicant Requirements

Prior to the start of the program, the resident shall be a graduate of a college of pharmacy accredited by the American Council of Pharmaceutical Education (ACPE) and shall be licensed or eligible for licensure in the State of Washington. Residents not licensed as a pharmacist at the beginning of the residency must be licensed as a pharmacy intern in the state of Washington. The applicant shall meet all the requirements for employment at Providence St. Mary Medical Center and meet the professional requirements of the Department of Pharmacy.

Strong residency candidates will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, professionalism and leadership, and demonstrate a commitment to the provision of pharmaceutical care. Candidates must participate in the ASHP resident matching program.

How to Apply

To be eligible for the Providence St. Mary Medical Center pharmacy residency, applicants

must complete the following in the PhORCAS portal by January 10:

  • Letter of intent stating goals and interest
  • Resume or curriculum vitae
  • Official college (pharmacy) transcripts
  • Three letters of recommendation[KT1]
