Major Project Topic: Digoxin Level Monitoring in Hospitalized Patients in Acute Kidney Injury

Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: Providence Regional Medical Center is a level II trauma center with one of the busiest emergency departments in Washington state. There is an abundance of hands-on learning opportunities available for the acute care pharmacy practice. These aspects aligned perfectly with my professional interests in both emergency medicine and the critical care practice. In addition, I had the opportunity to spend two APPE rotations at this site as a student. On these rotations, I appreciated the level of pharmacy involvement in the healthcare team. The preceptors were enthusiastic educators that challenged me to grow as a student and future pharmacist.

Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: I had the fortune of completing most of my APPE rotations here as a student and ultimately wanted to continue my learning here as a resident. What drew me back was how great the preceptors were and how progressive the pharmacy practice is at this institution.
