Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: While interviewing for the residency, I was looking for a program that would challenge me to step outside of my comfort zone and grow as a clinical pharmacist while fostering a strong sense of belonging. During my interview at PRMCE, I realized this was the right place for me to achieve both goals. The warmth, encouragement, and commitment of the preceptors and team members to support my development reassured me that this was the right place to grow both professionally and personally. I am excited to be a meaningful part of the team and to become a more capable and compassionate pharmacist.

Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: I was drawn to PRMCE for the diverse learning opportunities. When interviewing for residency, I sought a program that would support my professional growth and challenge me to strengthen my clinical skills. During the application and interview session, I felt that PRMCE truly wanted to get to know me as an individual and I was able to get a sense of community, support and guidance. These were contributing factors that allowed me to see myself thrive as a resident here at PRMCE. I look forward to this residency year and becoming a meaningful contributor to patient care as a clinical pharmacist.

Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: •Growing up in Monroe and having a lot of family in this area, I ended up spending a lot of time in Everett. I have multiple family members that were born and treated in this hospital, so when I had the opportunity to apply for residency at PRMCE, I jumped at the chance. I was so impressed by the kindness I was shown during the application process and the positive atmosphere that this facility fostered. I truly felt at home as soon as I stepped in the front door. I have had the opportunity to work for community hospitals in the past, so I know the impact they have on their community. I also knew many healthcare workers that worked for this hospital so knew how well respected the pharmacists were within this organization. Based on my experiences so far during this residency, I know I made the right decision. I feel supported and cared for by the people around me and I enjoy coming to work every day. I am looking forward to building my skills as a pharmacist over the next year and I want to express how thankful I am for this opportunity.

Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: I chose pharmacy as a career because I wanted to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those around me. Having grown up in Lynnwood, I was drawn to the valuable experiences PRMCE provides, including the opportunity to pursue my interest in inpatient acute care at the only Level II trauma center in Snohomish County, and enabling me to serve the community I call home. From the thoughtful interview process, to the mentorship I have received and preceptors I have worked with, I have felt both welcome and supported at PRMCE. I look forward to growing and developing strong skills in clinical pharmacy to contribute to patient care in my community.
