Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: From my experience in the medical ICU during my APPE rotation, I felt each preceptor genuinely cared for and invested in my learning and growth as a pharmacy student. The preceptors and pharmacy staff foster a great workplace culture that encourages their residents to learn and grow. Providence is a progressive hospital which provides a multitude of unique hands-on and clinical learning opportunities for their residents. Overall, Providence felt like home and was a place where I could grow not only as a pharmacist but as a person too.

Major Project Topic: Optimizing ED Providers' Preference List
Why I chose Providence Regional Medical Center Everett: In school we are encouraged to practice at the top of our license, which is not always achievable at every health system. What drew me to PRMCE is the progressive approach to patient care that allows pharmacists to utilize their license to the fullest and play a critical role in the care team. Another thing that stood out to me was the supportive learning environment created by preceptors who are invested in helping residents understand the “why” behind best practices. All of the interactions I’ve had since joining the PRMCE team have confirmed that this residency program is the best fit for optimizing both my professional and personal growth.
