Phlebotomists at Providence Swedish Edmonds are on their feet, moving from room to room or at one of the outpatient draw clinics, collecting samples from all age populations and disease states. It is common to walk up to 6 miles during a shift. Due to patients needing testing results before providers start making rounds, some of the phlebotomist shifts start early in the morning and most include rotating weekends.
