Experience: Working as an MLS since 2005 in small to large hospital settings. Worked as a generalist for 12 years before working strictly Chemistry for 6 years.
Interests: Keeping up with my 2 kids and their activities, hanging out with my family and friends, skiing, hiking and biking.
I love being able to connect with the new generation of MLS’s. This is a career I love and am excited to share it with them!

Experience: More than 40 years of experience, mainly in Hematology.
Interests: Crafting, quilting, and rooting for Gonzaga, the Mariners, and the Seahawks.
I felt a connection to Hematology from the first day of my training. The blood cells can really tell the story of a person’s health if you know how to read them correctly.

Experience: More than 15 years in the Microbiology department working at all of the various technical benches.
Interests: Being involved with my children’s sports and school activities; listening to various music genres and riding motorcycles.
I really enjoy working with the students. Every year, they think I am challenging them to become better in Microbiology, but they are also challenging me to become a better instructor. Students ask the best questions, which often leads to new ways of teaching or explaining a subject.
Education: Specialist in Blood Banking, LifeShare; Graduate of Providence Sacred Heart School of Medical Laboratory Science; Bachelor of Science, Biology, Eastern Washington University. Associate of Science, General Studies, North Idaho College.
Experience: Over 10 years of Blood Banking experience including advanced clinical patient testing and blood component processing. Taught and lead various small groups in nonclinical settings.
Interests: Small engine repair, various auctions, remodeling my home, cooking, going for walks with my wife, son, and our dogs.
I am very passionate about blood banking and enjoy teaching about this little-known portion of the lab.
Education: Medical Assistant-Phlebotomist, Alpine College; Associate of Applied Science,
Spokane Falls Community College.
Experience: Over 15 years of experience as a phlebotomist and phlebotomy trainer at a level-2 trauma center. Working as Clinical Educator in Phlebotomy since January 2023.
Interests: Being around family, watching my kids play sports, camping, boating, ATV riding.
I really enjoy watching students grow as they make phlebotomy their career or use it to help them achieve their goal in the medical field.

Experience: Large hospital to small physicians’ clinics. Working in the clinical education field since 2006.
Interests: Being with my family, enjoying the outdoors, gardening and trying a variety of ethnic foods.
I believe each individual has a unique set of skills and when applied appropriately, an individual can excel beyond expectations. I am passionate about this career field and helping our students become the best they can be.
Education: Certificate, eLearning Instructional Design, University of Washington;
Bachelor of Arts, Journalism, University of Alaska-Fairbanks.
Experience: Over 30 years supporting education & training programs in healthcare and the clinical laboratory environment.
Interests: Creative projects, music and stories, exploring new places, sampling delicious foods, spending time with family, friends and fur-babies.
