Resident Application

Kadlec Family Medicine Residency participates in the National Residency Matching Program (NRMP) for first year family positions. All applications will be accepted throughout the Electronic Residency Application System (ERAS). Eight residents will be selected for the first year positions.

Applications Deadline: November 30th each year. Applications are reviewed on a first come first serve basis; we encourage you to apply early.

Due to COVID-19, we will be conducting Virtual Interviews, they will occur every Wednesday from November through January. Kadlec Family Medicine Residency provides equal access to its programs, services, and activities for people with disabilities.

General Application Requirements:

  1. Applications will only be accepted through ERAS
  2. Must have passed within two attempts:
    • USMLE Part I and Part II CK or
    • COMLEX Part 1 and Part 2 CE
  1. Have graduated from medical school within 2 years of beginning training in our program.
  2. Dean's Letter (MSPE)
  3. Three letters of recommendation (at least one from a family medicine physician)
  4. Medical School Transcript
  5. Personal Statement
  6. Documentation of predominately US experience for clinical and elective rotations (observerships or job shadow experience will not be accepted)

Additional Requirements for International Graduates:

  1. Valid ECFMG and Clinical Skills Assessment Certification
  2. Documentation of US Family Medicine Clinic experience equivalent to 4-6 week rotation (observerships or job shadow experience will not be accepted)
  3. Documentation of Inpatient experience in Family Medicine, Inpatient Pediatrics, or Internal Medicine (observerships or job shadow experience will not be accepted)
  4. LCME accredited school
