Admission Requirements

A high school diploma/equivalent or highest level of completed schooling
from an accredited institution is required for admission.
- Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and eligible to work and live
in the U.S.
- Candidates with current AHA BLS certification are more competitive in the
application process.
- Candidates with previous clinical laboratory or healthcare-related experience,
paid or voluntary, are more competitive in the application process.
- In-person personal interview to assess professional goals, judgment, cognitive
ability, interpersonal skills and communication skills required for the
profession.
- Minimum of two professional references (employers, instructors, advisors,
etc.); personal or coworker references will not be accepted.
Please Note: A successful background check and drug screen are required for acceptance.
Proof of vaccination is required. All qualified applicants are considered.
Applicant acceptance is determined by the Providence Phlebotomy Training
Program Admissions Committee.
