How are applicants selected for interviews?
We thoroughly review each candidate’s application to determine who to invite for an interview. We consider an applicant’s fit with our program, and our mission and values. We also consider an applicant’s letters of recommendation, pharmacy school performance, work experience, and extracurricular activities.
How many residency positions are in each cohort?
We accept 2 residents per class.
Must I be Catholic to apply for the residency?
You do not need to be Catholic to join our residency. We value diversity as one of our greatest strengths and welcome residents of all backgrounds and beliefs.
How would you describe the patient population?
The ongoing nationwide doctor shortage has disproportionately impacted public health in the High Desert. Residents in our community are underserved, and roughly 20% live in poverty. You will have the opportunity to help improve health outcomes and quality of life for patients with multiple chronic health conditions and co-morbidities.
Is there a resident research project?
Residents are required to complete a scholarly project during their 12-month training period.
Is there support for residents' wellbeing and work-life balance?
Yes. Our robust caregiver wellness program provides residents with resources to stay physically and emotionally healthy. Pharmacy residents can take advantage of all the benefits included in the wellness program.
