Why I chose Providence: The preceptors and leadership team here at Providence have cultivated a strong environment for residents to learn and thrive. It was clear during the interview process that pharmacy department is invested in resident success. The supportive environment and diversity of experiences offered to me drew me to this program. I can honestly say that I enjoy coming to the hospital every day and working with the amazing preceptors and staff here at Providence.
Fun Fact: I have a cat named Mr Man and a miniature dachshund named Bunny!

Major Project: Evaluation of SAVED/IMPEDE risk assessment models for VTE prophylaxis in multiple myeloma patients
Why I chose Providence: I have had the opportunity to work at Providence Portland as an intern and at Providence St. Vincent as an APPE student. Through this experience, I observed the supportive and collaborative culture among the pharmacists. This confirmed that the program would be a great fit for me to continue learning and growing as a pharmacy resident. I am especially excited about the oncology opportunities available through both inpatient and outpatient rotations.
Fun Fact: My favorite place to visit is Okinawa, Japan! Enjoying the beaches, food, and culture is my favorite way to recharge.

Major Project: Impact of restricting medication auto-verification on patient safety outcomes in an emergency department setting
Why I chose Providence: In addition to being my neighborhood hospital, I chose PPMC because of its diverse practice experiences, strong ambulatory care program, and supportive preceptors.
Fun Fact: I am a huge sports fan and support Manchester United, the Blazers, and follow a bunch of different NFL teams. I am also a huge Lord of the Rings fan.
Pharmacy School: Purdue University
Professional Interest: Pharmacy Management and Administration
Major Project: Pharmacist-Provider collaborative clinic for the treatment of iron deficiency anemia
Why I chose Providence: I chose Providence because I strongly align with the organization’s values. During my interactions, I was impressed by how welcoming the team was and how supportive the learning environment felt. I also valued seeing that many past residents have chosen to remain with the staff, which speaks to the strength of the residency program, the culture of growth, and the sense of community within the team.
Fun Fact: I completed a two-month international APPE rotation in Eldoret, Kenya, where I worked at Moi Teaching and Research Hospital. Outside of pharmacy, I explored the country, immersed myself in the culture, and began learning Swahili.

Why I chose Providence: I chose Providence because I felt that there was a culture centered around learning and the preceptors were open and willing to help the residents grow and learn. Providence also provided me the opportunity to experience a variety of different rotations and allowed me to align my residency experience with my future goals. I was also eager to find a place out on the west coast closer to home and providence felt like the right fit to help me grow professionally.
Fun Fact: I played the ukulele for 10 years.

Why I chose Providence: I chose Providence because of its supportive environment and strong culture around growth and development. During the interview, I saw how invested the preceptors are in helping learners succeed while creating a welcoming and collaborative atmosphere. The wide range of rotations and professional experiences offered provide an incredible opportunity to strengthen my clinical foundation and explore different areas of pharmacy practice. I was drawn to the culture that values mentorship, teamwork, and continuous learning—qualities that make Providence an ideal place to grow as a clinician.
Fun Fact: I love hiking and collecting pins from every national park I visit as a way to remember each trail and the memories made along the way.
