Program Disclosure: Neither Providence nor the Postdoctoral Residency Program require students, trainees, and/or staff (faculty) to comply with specific policies or practices related to the institution’s Catholic affiliation or purpose.

Postdoctoral Residency Admission: Resident candidates must have successfully completed and received their degree from an APA accredited doctoral program in psychology including completion of an APA accredited internship program. In addition, a practicum or internship experience in a medical setting is required.
Practicum or internship experience in a behavioral health integration setting is highly preferred.

Financial and Other Benefit Support for Upcoming Training Year:

• Annual Stipend/Salary for Full-time Residents: $55,994
• No Half-time Resident positions available.
• Program provides access to medical insurance for residents.
• Trainee contribution to cost may be required depending on household size and benefits selected
• Medical coverage of family member(s) including domestic partner is available
• 184 Hours of Annual Paid Provider Time Away (PTA) includes Holiday, Medical/Illness, and/or Vacation
• 40 hours Annual Paid Education Leave in addition to PTA
• In the event of medical conditions and/or family needs that require extended leave, the program allows reasonable unpaid leave to interns/residents in excess of personal time off and sick leave.
• Other Benefits include up to $3,000 for continuing education, exam study materials, exam and licensing fees; exams completed on salaried time (no use of PTA for exam days); life insurance, dental insurance, liability insurance
