Student Rotations

Providence St. Joseph Hospital Eureka Family Medicine Residency Program offers several rotations for students from allopathic and osteopathic medical schools.

Medical Student Rotations

We offer 4-week medical student rotations within the hospital and community settings. If you are considering a career as in rural medicine, this opportunity will provide exposure to our rural community with a variety of ambulatory and inpatient specialties available for students to choose. We strive to help you become more independent as the rotation progresses and to learn the joys of doctor-patient interactions in a patient-centered environment.

If you are interested in applying to rotate with the hospital or ambulatory setting, please complete our Medical Student Rotation Application and email it along with your CV to EurekaGME.

Family Medicine Sub-internships

An advanced rotation of 4 weeks duration for those who wish to expand their skills in either inpatient or ambulatory medicine is available for fourth year students interested in family medicine. The rotation can be tailored to your needs as you work with our residents in the hospital, the office or a mixture of the two. When taking call with the residents, you will cover the full spectrum of patient care with them, including adult and pediatric admissions, deliveries and interesting emergency department cases. We welcome your participation in all aspects of the program during your time with us.

Openings for Sub-Internship rotations are determined in Spring of the academic year. If you are interested in applying for a potential opening, you may fill out an Sub-Internship Application and email it along with your CV to EurekaGME. Applications will be reviewed in the Spring and early Summer of the academic year, but you can submit it at any time.
