Dr. Mar Bacarro earned their medical degree from St. James School of Medicine
on the Caribbean island of Anguilla, part of the Lesser Antilles. During
their training, they developed a strong interest in preventive medicine,
with particular focus areas including diabetes care and gender-affirming
healthcare. Outside of medicine, they enjoy photography, playing video
games, and practicing archery. As a proud member of the LGBTQIA+ community,
Dr. Bacarro is also deeply engaged in efforts to promote social change
and equity, bringing both personal insight and professional dedication
to their advocacy.
