Originally from Colorado, Behavioralist Kit Boisvert Meyer, studied adult
learning and curriculum while completing a Master of Education (MEd) at
The University of Southern Mississippi, which led to moving to Humboldt
to work at the local university in Arcata. Kit spent several years working
at Humboldt State (now Cal Poly Humboldt) while doing work as a Doula
and Childbirth Educator. Through UCSD Extension, she became an International
Board Certificated Lactation Consultant (IBCLC.) Later studying at Humboldt
State University, getting an MA in Counseling and obtaining a license
in Marriage and Family Therapy. Kit specializes her clinical work in pregnancy,
substance use, people who have been incarcerated and geriatric mental
health while teaching the Family Medicine Residents about integrated mental
health and behavioral science. In her personal time, Kit enjoys travelling,
trail running, and outdoor adventures.
