Dr. Cecilia Guerre attended the University of Texas at Austin, studying
biology with a focus on public health and policy. During this time, she
advocated for improved access to health care for fellow Texans through
the Children’s Defense Fund. After graduating, she taught reproductive
health to high school students as an AmeriCorps VISTA volunteer. She obtained
her medical degree at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where
she was able to help develop and lead a trauma-informed care elective
for fellow students. She completed her residency with the Family Medicine
Residency of Western Montana. She is passionate about breaking the cycle
of generational trauma by addressing not only children’s health
needs, but by improving the health of parents, grandparents, and mothers-to-be.
As core faculty, she loves working with residents through teaching, precepting
and advising, helping other family doctors reach their goals in medicine
and beyond.
